About Watkins Court Reporters
Watkins Court Reporters has served as a respected court reporting and litigation support agency to the Pacific Northwest legal community since its inception in 1991. We partner with agencies across Washington, Oregon and Idaho to ensure our clients are taken care of whenever their depositions take them out of the Seattle area.

Melissa J. Watkins, CCR
President
Melissa J. Watkins has been a certified court reporter in both Washington and Idaho since 1991. She has built her agency into a strong, successful
and thriving business, which is now relied upon by many law firms throughout the Puget Sound region.
Personally licensed as a certified court reporter in both Washington and Idaho for the past 17 years, Melissa still reports depositions today, along with managing the company and supervising a team of 15 reporters and staff. She has traveled internationally to take depositions for her clients, and enjoys her pro bono work for Seattle’s deaf and hard of hearing community, utilizing her company’s realtime and captioning software.
Melissa has always appreciated the constant flow of work from her loyal and supportive clients and carefully selects only the most skilled and meticulous reporters to uphold her company’s reputation. Her dedicated team has helped her to expand the company and exceed the lofty business goals she set for herself over 20 years ago. Outside of the office, Melissa loves traveling, running, skiing, tennis, and boating.
